Special Taonga.

My Brother.

Do you have someone special in your life?
Well I do

I want to talk to you about a Taonga: A Taonga is something or someone special to you.
My Taonga is my big brother because we loved him & he communicates with us very well.




My special thing to me is my older brother Albert Alapati because when he passed away me & my family felt emotional for him, that's why he’s a really special person to me.
My brother was Tall. The only sport he loved to play with my other older brother was Rugby he was strong playing rugby.



When it was time for the funeral, First my three brother had to lift it with with some of my cousins. Then our pastor gave the opportunity to people to talk about my brother for example a speech. The first person to go up was my dad. then, second was my Grandma.


Later it was my Mum’s turn, she sang a Samoan song. Then it was my cousins and me & my brothers turn and we also sang a song. Then we had to go to the cemetery and we had to go and say good bye to him.

Later we went back home and we had fun with our cousins and our Uncle’s and Aunty's at our old house.
My brother’s birthday is on Sunday 14th February, his birthday was 2 days ago on Sunday. We couldn't celebrate it with him because we were so busy with stuff including our church.
My brother was funny for example really incredible jokes but really FUNNY!. Thank You For Reading My Special Person To Me.

It’s not about being the best, it’s about improving your personal best and not giving up. Beating my personal best is a goal I have achieved this year, even if I struggle, I never give up. The first thing we did was rest/play. While we were resting/playing we watched others to see what they did to be good. We also cheered people on and encouraged them to keep on trying. Encouraging was something I did all day. I was a brilliant cheerleader. I enjoyed encouraging my peers so that it would motivate them to achieve their personal best. Art Learning Story.

What is surrealism art? Surrealism began as a philosophical movement that said the way to find truth in the world through the subconscious mind and dreams. Surrealist works often show familiar things in unexpected or impossible ways. Art is not my thing. But I stepped out of my comfort zone and had a try. I was really good at relating to others because I asked for advice on what colors I could use. In my art, I combined a guitar and my face. It shows that music is my passion. My hair has patterns in it which show my culture which is Samoan. The K.C skills I used was self-managing. I focused and chose the right people and the right place to get my art done. I didn’t distract other people and I shared my ideas. I was struggling with the equipment because it was too thick like the pastel.
